IP Expert in India is being responsible for undertaking project research, providing assistance and support to the PMT in the implementation of project activities and for providing IP expertise to (if so agreed by ) the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) as necessary to ensure the effective implementation of the Cooperation Project on Intellectual Property Rights (IPC-EUI).
Specialised IP experts are being constantly selected to fit the requirements and needs of the project’s activities. On the one hand, the project outsources external experts to do presentations on specialised topics or locally manage parts of activities, particularly when it concerns training events in India. On the other hand, internal EUIPO experts take part in the implementation of certain activities, particularly when it concerns integration and use of EUIPO’s IP tools or professional endeavours closely linked to EUIPO’s procedures and best practice.
