The project EU-India Intellectual Property Cooperation or 'IPC-EUI'
From February 2015 until March 2018, the IPC-EUI project, carried out by the EUIPO and acting as implementing agency for the European Commission, has helped strengthening the capacity of the IP administration in India through the exchange of best practice and effective cooperation between institutions in order to enhance IPR quality registration.
In addition, information services to the Indian business community, particularly in the areas of trade marks, GIS and industrial designs, were delivered.
Finally, the project improved the capacity of the productive sector in India, particularly MSMEs, to create, protect and manage their own brands by using IP as a tool for development.
