1) To exchange best practices and cooperate in the field of IP Administration between CGPDTM and EUIPO to deliver high quality services Result 1
Strengthened capacity of Indian IP-related institutions to deliver high quality services in the areas of trade marks, industrial designs and geographical indications.
COMPONENT 1 / Activities for Result 1: Administration and Enforcement
Preparation of reference materials on best practices, simplified workflows and trade mark and design examination manuals for the CGPDTM; online publication of trade mark and design information on widely accessible websites; development of a trade mark classification database; training of trade mark and design examiners.
2) To enhance the capacity of the Indian productive sector to create, protect and manage its own brands by using IP as a tool for development Result 2
Improved capacity of the productive sector, especially SMEs, to create, protect and manage their own brands by using IP as a tool for development.
COMPONENT 2 / Activities for Result 2: Branding
Development of information materials and training activities for SMEs on brand creation, protection, management and commercialisation; training on trade mark and industrial designs for advisors and attorneys; assistance in the development of information materials and tools to be made available to users; advice and assistance to enhance the use of GIs as a marketing tool and the protection of Indian GIs abroad.
